Search & Filter

Find files quickly with search and advanced filters.

The Hub provides powerful search and filtering capabilities to help you find files quickly, even in large collections.

Search Basics

Type in the search box at the top of the Hub to find files by name or content.

  • Results appear as you type (with a 300ms debounce)
  • Matches are highlighted in the results
  • Search works across all files you have access to

The 300ms debounce prevents excessive searches while typing, providing a smooth experience without unnecessary delays.

Search Scope

Search looks through:

  • File names
  • Document content
  • Tags
  • Owner names

Combining Filters

Filters work together to refine your results. For example, you can:

Search for "project" to find files with that term

Filter by Documents to exclude whiteboards

Filter by This Month to see only recent files

Filter by My Files to see only files you own

All filters are applied simultaneously, showing only files that match all selected criteria.

Clearing Filters

  • Click Clear next to individual filters to remove them
  • Click Clear All to reset all filters at once

Tips for Finding Files

Use specific search terms: The more specific your search, the better your results. Include unique words from the file name or content.

Combine search with filters: Start with a broad search, then use filters to narrow down results.

Use tags consistently: Tag your files when creating them to make future searching easier.

Check different date ranges: If you remember approximately when you created a file, use date filters to narrow the search.

Try owner filters: If you're looking for a file someone shared with you, use the "Shared with Me" filter.
