Hub
Your central file and asset management system for organizing recordings, documents, whiteboards, and more.
The Hub is your central location for managing all files and assets in V.connct. Whether you need to find a meeting recording, organize documents into folders, or share a whiteboard with colleagues, the Hub keeps everything in one place.
What is the Hub?
The Hub is a file management system that stores and organizes all your V.connct assets. Think of it as your personal drive for meeting-related content — recordings, documents, whiteboards, clips, and AI-generated meeting summaries all live here.
Every asset you create or receive appears in the Hub automatically. You can organize them into folders, star important items for quick access, and share them with others.
Asset Types
The Hub supports five types of assets:
| Asset | Description | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Recording | Video recordings of meetings | Created during meetings with recording enabled |
| Document | Text files and notes | Created manually or imported |
| Whiteboard | Visual collaboration boards | Created during meetings or standalone |
| Clip | Short video segments | Trimmed from recordings |
| Meeting Summary | AI-generated meeting notes | Auto-generated after meetings end |
Asset availability depends on your plan
Some asset types like Meeting Summary require specific features to be enabled for your organization. Check with your admin if you don't see certain options.
Navigation Views
The Hub sidebar provides quick access to filtered views of your assets:
| View | Shows |
|---|---|
| All Files | Everything you own or have access to |
| Recent | Assets you've opened recently, sorted by last access |
| Starred | Items you've marked as favorites |
| Shared with Me | Assets others have shared with you |
| Trash | Deleted items (recoverable for 30 days) |
Click any view in the sidebar to filter your assets instantly.
Folders
Folders help you organize assets into logical groups. You can create unlimited folders and nest them to any depth.
Key features:
- Nested folders — Create subfolders within folders for detailed organization
- Color-coded — Assign colors to folders for visual identification
- Shared folders — Share entire folders with specific people or your organization
When you share a folder, recipients get access to everything inside it, including items added later.
Quick Actions
The Hub toolbar provides fast access to common tasks:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| New | Create a new folder, document, or whiteboard |
| Upload | Add files from your computer |
| View toggle | Switch between grid and list views |
| Filter | Filter by asset type, date, or owner |
| Search | Find assets by name or content |
Permissions
Your access level determines what you can do with each asset:
| Permission | Your Files | Shared (View) | Shared (Edit) |
|---|---|---|---|
| View | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Download | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Edit | Yes | No | Yes |
| Share | Yes | No | Yes |
| Move | Yes | No | No |
| Delete | Yes | No | No |
Sharing expands access
When you share an asset, recipients can view and download it. Be careful when sharing sensitive content — consider using View-only permissions when Edit access isn't needed.
