Meetings

Everything about the meeting lifecycle — joining, starting, scheduling, and managing your meetings.

Meetings are at the core of V.connct. Whether you're joining a colleague's call, starting a quick discussion, or planning a recurring team sync, the Meetings section has you covered.

Meeting Types

V.connct supports three types of meetings:

TypeDescriptionUse Case
InstantStart immediately with no schedulingQuick calls, ad-hoc discussions
ScheduledSet for a specific date and timePlanned meetings with invitees
RecurringRepeat on a patternWeekly standups, monthly reviews

Instant Meetings

Instant meetings launch immediately. They're perfect when you need to talk to someone right now. You can optionally add a title and select a room, but no scheduling is required.

Scheduled Meetings

Scheduled meetings have a specific start time and can include invitees who receive email invitations. You can add a description, configure settings, and set up security options like passwords and waiting rooms.

Recurring Meetings

Recurring meetings are scheduled meetings that repeat automatically. You can set patterns like:

  • Daily — Every day or every N days
  • Weekly — On specific days of the week
  • Monthly — On a specific date or day (e.g., "first Monday")
  • No Fixed Time — For standing meetings that happen regularly but not on a strict schedule

Meeting States

Meetings move through a lifecycle:

Your Role in a Meeting

Every participant has a meeting role — Host, Co-Host, Presenter, or Attendee — that determines their permissions during the meeting.

  • Host — Created the meeting; has full control including starting, ending, editing, and cancelling
  • Co-Host — Can help manage the meeting and participants
  • Presenter — Currently presenting or sharing content; has spotlight and screen share access
  • Attendee — Can join and participate; can respond to invitations (Accept, Decline, Maybe)

Meeting roles are different from organization roles

Your organization role (Owner, Admin, Member) controls access to the Admin Panel. Meeting roles control what you can do inside a specific meeting.
