Invitations & RSVP
Respond to meeting invitations and manage your attendance.
When someone invites you to a meeting, you'll receive an invitation that you can respond to. This page covers how invitations work and how to manage your responses.
Coming Soon — The RSVP response feature is not yet available but is planned for an upcoming release. Currently, you can view invitations but cannot submit responses through the dashboard. The information below describes how the feature will work once released.
Receiving Invitations
When you're invited to a meeting, you receive:
- Email notification — Contains meeting details and join link
- Dashboard notification — Meeting appears in your Meetings list
- Calendar entry — If you have calendar sync enabled
Email Invitation Contents
The invitation email includes:
- Meeting title and description
- Date, time, and duration
- Host name
- Join link and meeting ID
- Password (if required)
- ICS file attachment for calendar apps
Responding to Invitations
You have three response options:
| Response | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Accept | You plan to attend |
| Decline | You won't attend |
| Maybe/Tentative | You might attend |
How to Respond
Go to Meetings in the sidebar
Find the meeting you were invited to
Click on the meeting to open details
Use the Respond button to select your response
You can also respond:
- From the email invitation (if your email client supports it)
- From the meeting details sidebar
- From the calendar view
Changing Your Response
Changed your mind? You can update your RSVP at any time before the meeting:
Open the meeting details
Your current response is shown
Click to change your response
Select the new option
RSVP Status Visibility
What the Host Sees
The meeting host can see:
- Who has been invited
- Each invitee's response status
- When responses were submitted
This helps hosts plan and know who to expect.
What You See
As an invitee, you see:
- Your own response status
- Meeting details and join information
- Other participants (if the host allows)
Invitation Status Indicators
In your meeting list and calendar, meetings show your invitation status:
| Status | Display |
|---|---|
| Invited | Awaiting your response |
| Accepted | You've confirmed attendance |
| Declined | You've declined |
| Tentative | You've marked as maybe |
Even if you decline, you can still join the meeting if you change your mind. The RSVP is informational — it doesn't lock you out.
Bulk RSVP
Coming Soon — This feature will be available when RSVP responses are released.
If you have multiple meeting invitations to respond to:
Go to Meetings
Select multiple meetings using the checkboxes
Use the bulk actions menu
Select RSVP and choose your response
This applies the same response to all selected meetings.
Invitation Notifications
When You're Invited
You'll receive:
- Email with full meeting details
- In-app notification (if enabled)
When Details Change
If the host updates the meeting, you'll receive:
- Email notification of changes
- Updated calendar entry
When Meeting is Cancelled
If the host cancels, you'll receive:
- Cancellation email with reason (if provided)
- Updated calendar showing cancellation
Tips for Managing Invitations
Respond promptly: Hosts appreciate knowing who will attend. Respond as soon as you know your availability.
Use "Maybe" appropriately: If you're unsure, "Maybe" lets the host know you might attend. Update to Accept or Decline when you know for sure.
Check your calendar: Before accepting, check your calendar for conflicts. V.connct shows you the meeting time but doesn't automatically check your external calendars.
Set up calendar sync: Connect your calendar app to see V.connct meetings alongside your other commitments.
