Meeting Roles & Permissions

Understanding the four meeting roles and what each can do during a V.connct meeting.

Terminology Note

The Co-Host role was previously called "Moderator" in earlier versions. Both terms refer to the same role with identical capabilities. "Moderator" is being phased out in favor of "Co-Host."

The Four Meeting Roles

Every participant has one of four roles that determines what they can do.

Meeting Settings (Lock Controls)

Host and Co-Host can restrict what participants can do during the meeting using the Meeting Settings panel.

Accessing Meeting Settings

  1. Click the Settings icon in the meeting toolbar
  2. The Meeting Settings panel opens with toggle controls
  3. Enable a lock to restrict that action for participants

Available Lock Controls

Lock controls affect participants only

These locks apply to Attendees and Presenters. Host and Co-Host are not affected by lock settings.

Role Actions by Target

What you can do depends on both your role AND the target participant's role.
