Participants
View, search, and manage meeting participants.
The Participants panel shows everyone in the meeting, their roles, and provides tools for hosts and Co-Hosts to manage attendees.
Opening the Panel
Click the Participants button in the meeting toolbar. The panel slides open on the side of your screen showing:
- Search bar — Find participants by name
- Waiting Lobby — People waiting for approval (if enabled)
- Participant list — Everyone currently in the meeting
- Polls tab — Access meeting polls
Participant List
What You See
Each participant entry shows:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Avatar | Initials-based avatar |
| Name | Display name (with "You" label for yourself) |
| Role badge | Host, Co-Host, or Presenter (Attendees have no badge) |
| Hand icon | Appears if they've raised their hand |
List Order
Participants are sorted by:
- You — Always appears first
- Host — Meeting organizer
- Co-Hosts — Assigned by the Host to help manage the meeting
- Presenters — Current presenter
- Attendees — Alphabetically
Searching Participants
Use the search bar at the top of the panel to find specific participants:
- Type a name in the search field
- The list filters in real-time
- Click the X to clear and show everyone again
Useful in large meetings to quickly find someone.
Participant Actions
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to any participant to see available actions.
Available actions depend on your role and the target participant's role. For example, Co-Hosts cannot remove other Co-Hosts.
Waiting Lobby
When the waiting room is enabled, people who join appear in the Waiting Lobby section at the top of the panel.
Host and Co-Host can:
- Admit — Let them into the meeting
- Admit All — Let everyone waiting in at once
- Deny — Reject their entry
See Waiting Room for more details.
Participant Count
The panel header shows the total number of participants currently in the meeting. This count updates in real-time as people join or leave.
Visibility Settings
The host can lock participant visibility using Meeting Settings:
- Lock Seeing Other Participants — When enabled, attendees can only see hosts, Co-Hosts, and presenters (not other attendees)
This is useful for webinar-style meetings where attendees don't need to see each other.
