Reactions & Non-Verbal Feedback
Respond during a meeting with temporary emoji reactions or persistent feedback statuses.
Reactions provide quick visual feedback without interrupting the speaker. Open Reactions from the meeting toolbar or the More menu, depending on your screen size.
Emoji Reactions
Choose a quick reaction such as thumbs up, celebrate, clap, heart, laugh, or surprised. You can also open the full emoji picker when it is available.
Emoji reactions are temporary. They appear briefly in the meeting and then disappear automatically.
Non-Verbal Feedback
Non-verbal feedback communicates a status or request, such as:
- Yes or No
- Slow down or Speed up
- I'm away
- Be right back
Unlike an emoji reaction, non-verbal feedback remains visible until you clear it or replace it with another status. Use I'm back or Clear my status when appropriate.
Raise Hand Is Separate
Use Raise Hand when you want to speak. A reaction or non-verbal status does not place you in the raised-hand queue.
Permissions and Mobile
The Host can lock reactions. On mobile or narrow screens, open More to find the reaction controls. The exact emoji appearance can vary by device.
